Using the advanced chart for 4-betting works exactly the same as 3-bet decisions. You are just using a different section of the HUD and chart. When facing a 3-bet, you use the third line of the HUD and determine the opponent’s 3-bet range vs. your position. You then check the corresponding vs. V3B column on the chart and perform the appropriate action.
I have set up the chart to make things very easy to remember. Against blue 3-bettors you only 4-bet with Tier 1 hands, against gray 3-bettors you 4-bet with Tier 2 and better hands, versus Red 3-bettors you commit with any hand tier 3 or better, and against purple reraisers you can put your chips in with any tier 4 hand or better.
